Fall Caplet
I made this capelet as a little challenge for myself to recreate a pattern from a picture. The cape is made from a herringbone flannel with hand-embroidered pumpkins. The middle section ended up being attached to the bottom via hand stitching to keep the sharp edges of the pattern. Things I’ve learned: My fabric choice was too light to compare to the stiffer/heavier fabric of my reference, it would have been better if interfacing was added; the scalloped edge is necessary at the hem to reduce bulk.
